Volunteer

Hartland would love to partner with your church or family (individuals too!) to help provide opportunities to serve during a volunteer project here at camp. This is a great team-building time where servant-leadership can be trained/developed and families or spouses can come together doing work that can help in our efforts of ministering to thousands of guests each year. Let’s partner together in raising up the next generation of genuine Christians with a heart to serve.

There is no cost to volunteer, volunteering can be a day-event, or overnight. Hartland will feed and house you or your group during the volunteer project. A typical day will include an 8am-12pm/1pm-5pm service project, but projects can also be customized if just serving for a day (9am arrival, 4pm departure, etc.).

If your youth group is not currently doing a service project or missions trip each year, this could be a great opportunity to bring them up for the weekend (no cost) and give an opportunity to develop a heart of service. Students that serve at a volunteer project often also develop into the kind of person that sticks around after a church event to help stack chairs and meet other needs in service to their local church. Let Hartland be part of that hands-on training.

Projects range from season to season as well as available skills. If you’re a skilled mechanic we may have work for you there. We always have needs for fuel-reduction around the campus (raking, gathering, trimming). We also may have needs for painting (inside and outside of buildings) and other types of general work around the campus. For large groups we’ll also have some volunteers work in food service to help serve your entire group.
